Privacy Policy
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Lazy Alarm (“Application”) for mobile devices, which was created by LazyAlarm Team (Vamsi Chowdary Koppula).
The Application is a high-fidelity, cognitive-awakening alarm clock designed to help heavy sleepers wake up by completing interactive challenges (such as Math problems, Phone Shake detection, and Color Memory Tiles).
Privacy Commitment: Any settings, labels, or alarm schedules you set are stored locally on your device's private database and never leave your phone.
1. Information Collection and Use
Because the core Application operates offline, user alarm data is kept on the device:
- User-Provided Information: Any settings, labels, vibration preferences, ringtones, or alarm times you set are stored locally in your device's private Room SQLite database and never leave your phone. No user account registration is required to use the Application.
- Automatically Collected Information: The Application does not collect personal diagnostic logs, GPS location data, IP addresses, contacts, or personal identity details.
2. Device Permissions Used
To schedule and trigger alarms reliably, the Application requests and utilizes specific Android system permissions. None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit personal user data:
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM: Required to trigger alarm ringtones and screens at the exact millisecond configured by the user via Android AlarmManager.
- SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Draw over other apps): Required to display the interactive alarm challenge screen immediately over the lock screen when the phone is locked.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: Used to keep the alarm sound and wake-up verification state running reliably in the background without being terminated by the operating system.
- WAKE_LOCK: Used to wake up the screen and keep the processor active while the alarm ringtone and challenge are active.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Used to automatically restore and reschedule your configured alarms if your device reboots.
- VIBRATE: Used to trigger the haptic vibration motor when the alarm goes off.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to display ongoing alarm notifications and alert you if you missed an alarm.
- REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: Used to request exemption from aggressive background battery saving measures (critical on OEM ROMs like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Realme to ensure alarms fire on time).
3. Third-Party Services & Advertising
The Application integrates third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device or serve advertising. Below is the third-party service provider utilized by the Application:
Opting Out of Personalized Advertising: You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertisements at any time directly through your Android device settings by navigating to:
Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID / Delete advertising ID.
4. Children’s Privacy
Because we do not knowingly collect personal identifying data from any users, including children under the age of 13, the Application complies with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and applicable global regulations. If you believe personal information from a child has inadvertently been collected, please contact us immediately so we can promptly take appropriate action.
